Daniel Sturridge claimed his physical condition has not fully fit now. If it is in peak condition, he promised a lot of goals for his new team, Liverpool.
Sturridge came from Chelsea at a cost of £ 12 million last week. 23-year-old attacker was immediately played in the FA Cup third round match against Mansfield, Sunday (06/01/2013). He scored one goal in his debut match and helped the Reds win 2-1.
Despite scoring, Sturridge still not satisfied because he threw a couple of chances in the game. According to him, it was influenced by his physical prime yet 100 percent. Therefore, he hoped the conditions would be more fit over time.
"I do not have the sharpness in front of goal. I missed a couple of chances, but hopefully once I get my fitness, wasted opportunities that will come," I Sturridge told the Liverpool Echo.
"I'm pretty tired because I was not playing or practicing a lot in recent months. However, I am grateful to the boss who gave me a chance to play nearly 60 minutes," he added.
"I have a lot of practice. I recently had three sessions with friends and then a light session on Saturday before the match," said the player's full name is Daniel Andre Sturridge
